According to recent reports by "Morocco World News," Morocco is set to raise tariffs on disposable e-cigarettes as part of its 2024 budget plan.
Currently, Morocco levies lower tariffs on disposable e-cigarettes compared to other types of e-cigarettes. According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the objective of this adjustment is to apply the same import tax rate to disposable e-cigarettes as other e-cigarettes in the fiscal year 2023. Information released on the Moroccan Ministry of Economy and Finance website indicates that the tariff for disposable e-cigarettes will increase from 2.5% to 40%. This tariff increase aims to "strengthen the protection of local production for these products and devices and promote the establishment of manufacturing facilities in Morocco."
